The story behind this knife
A historic, pocket-sized powerhouse fusing rugged old-world iron with a razor-sharp, modern tactical edge.
One of one. Never to be repeated.
"Paring knives are often relegated to basic tasks, but I wanted to design a compact utility blade that commands attention. This 125mm piece brings a tactical, angular tanto geometry to the kitchen. By cladding the cutting-edge metallurgy of ApexUltra in centuries-old wrought iron, we created a tool that bridges the gap between historical craftsmanship and leading-edge performance, finished with a unapologetically bold, modern handle."Korben Bloomfield

The Making of This Knife
The Marriage of History and Innovation
The vision for this 125mm paring knife was to create a functional contradiction: a blade that feels deeply historical yet fiercely modern.
The journey began by sourcing antique wrought iron. Unlike modern uniform steel, old-world wrought iron contains silicates and character lines that can be revealed through acid etching. Laminating this sensitive, fibrous iron to a hyper-modern super-steel like ApexUltra requires perfect heat management and careful forging to prevent the layers from shearing.
During the grinding process, we departed from the traditional rounded paring shape to execute a clean, aggressive tanto geometry. Grinding a multi-faceted tip on a blade this compact leaves absolutely zero room for error; the lines must meet perfectly at the apex. To finish the piece, we contrasted the dark, historic story of the steel with a vibrant, neon-tinted stabilized handle. It is a striking, pocket-rocket of a utility knife that handles general kitchen prep with absolute authority.
