We like to keep the texture on the flats as you can see from the sample pictures but with care to grind symmetrically, it can be flattened. We pride ourselves in well-centred cores, consistent patterning, and excellent quality steel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOnce heat treated, ground and etched you will see a unique and vibrant copper line separating the random\/raindrop style Damascus from the jet black core as you can see from the sample pictures. The look can be changed with different polishing and etching processes. The sample piece is sanded to 320 grit, lightly etched and rubbed back with wire wool and already there's a bit of chatoyance.
